This apartment was bought before it was built by a couple whose children, already grown up, had recently left the “mother home”. The new scenario motivated the couple to reorganize the space.

The conversations around the room “copa” (small dining room used for less formal meals by the family) were very interesting during the project, for copa is a traditional room in Brazilian farms that has permeated grand urban homes and even apartments of the XXI century. Here there were attempts to preserve it, to remodel it, and even to deconstruct it!

The choice for the partial integration of the copa and the living room, through the pair table + screens, happened due to the possibilities of use that best served everyday life. Partial integration because the screens create an air of division, in the same way the suspended metallic ceiling divides the living and the TV room.

The wood of the floor was also used on the doors as smaller pieces (legnetto), bringing added gain and better suited dimensions.
